How to Upload a Participant Resume

Why does it matter?

Once a participant successfully completes all the steps your organization requires (typically including some resume updating) they are prepared to begin interviewing. By uploading their most up to date resume and marking their RiseKit profile as “Job Ready'', they can be seen by employers searching for job candidates on RiseKit. By uploading their most up-to-date resume you are taking the first step towards getting your participants to be job ready.

Navigation

To access the Resume feature do the following

Login to your RiseKit account at Staff Portal
Move your mouse toward the left-hand navigation.
You should see links that show the following options
Home
Chat
Pathways
Directory
Resources
Click on Directory
Locate the participant you want to upload a resume for using the Search, Sort, or Filter options



You as the program staff hold the responsibility of reviewing resumes with job candidates before they can be submitted for employers to see. On RiseKit, we require a staff member to upload a final edited resume (in PDF format for technical tagging purposes) to the program participant’s profile before they can be marked as “Job Ready”.

Once you find the correct person, click on their name, and their participant profile will open up. You see here this participant is not Job Ready and does not have a resume uploaded.



Locate the participant's resume. If you already have the resume saved to your computer you can upload it from there. If you do not, you can download it from the Files or the Pathway.



Select the arrow to upload the resume. Once you have uploaded a PDF resume for the program participant, the Upload Resume will have changed to Download Resume, indicating that a resume is attached to the participant's profile.
